Leadership at the highest levels is most powerful when it is personal

There is much to weigh and wade through right now, including death from COVID, death during isolation, loss of income, and the strange feeling that we can only fray so far.

We are also facing an election. I believe in leadership, and the symbiotic role it plays in our lives. The lack of it now is glaring. There are some bright spots including governors who have let science be their guide. While we need much better systems in place in this country, on all levels, we also need heart, and a common vector to a better, more resilient human partnership.

I have not been drawn by many presidential candidates this year. I am keen to watch Pete B (obvious name associations aside) grow as a politician in the coming decade as I like the way that he sees the systems of government and new futures. Biden has my full support now but I haven't captivated by him during this process.

That has changed after watching him with Colbert on 5/22. There is an extended interview with him that runs about 50 minutes. Watch the whole thing if you can as the reasoned approach is refreshing.

However, if you only have 10 minutes, I recommend the last part of the interview (linked below). It is these 10 minutes that reminded me of where Biden has been, and that leadership at the highest levels is most powerful when it is personal.
